Community Guidelines
Version: v3.2
Effective date: 1 October 2026
1. Why Havra exists
Havra helps adults find something worth doing and people to do it with. It is activity-first, not a dating service, follower network or platform for pressuring, recruiting or exploiting members.
2. Be respectful and welcoming
- No harassment, intimidation, bullying, humiliation, stalking or threats.
- No hate speech or dehumanising attacks based on protected or personal characteristics.
- Challenge ideas without attacking people.
3. Respect consent and boundaries
- If someone says no, asks you to stop, blocks you or clearly withdraws, stop.
- Do not repeatedly send unwanted romantic or sexual messages.
- Do not use Havra events mainly for pickup tactics, sexual solicitation or targeting attendees for dating. Natural relationships may develop; the rule is about consent and behaviour.
4. Be genuine
- No fake, malicious or misleading identities, impersonation or duplicate accounts used to manipulate Havra or evade restrictions.
- A pseudonym or chosen name is acceptable if it is not used to mislead.
- Use only a photo you are entitled to use; Havra-provided illustrated avatars are allowed where offered.
5. Do not spam or harvest people
- No bulk unsolicited messaging, scams, pyramid schemes, deceptive recruitment or requests for financial credentials.
- Do not harvest member data for unrelated external use.
- Group membership or event attendance does not automatically grant unrestricted direct-message access.
6. Business and professional events must be transparent
- Disclose relevant business, venue, sponsorship, commission or referral relationships.
- State required tickets, fees, minimum spend, external booking or purchase requirements clearly before someone joins.
- Do not hide sales intent or make misleading claims about professional credentials or outcomes.
- Educational events are allowed; do not present unverified guarantees in health, legal, financial, employment or other high-impact areas.
7. Describe events honestly
- Use clear titles and accurate descriptions.
- State time, broad location, meeting arrangements when available, cost, difficulty, accessibility and important requirements.
- Do not falsely claim affiliation, verification, endorsement, scarcity or popularity.
8. Handle changes fairly
Notify attendees promptly about material changes such as date, time, venue area, cost, difficulty or core activity. Members who cannot attend because the event materially changed should be able to withdraw without ordinary attendance consequences.
9. Respect attendance and trust systems
- Confirm only when you genuinely intend to attend.
- Cancel as early as reasonably possible when plans change.
- Do not create fake RSVPs, fake check-ins, sham events or collusion to generate points, badges, rewards or apparent popularity.
- Do not scan a ticket for someone who is not actually there or share personal QR tickets.
10. Hosting is a responsibility
- Give attendees a clear plan and suitable meeting information.
- Arrive or use Havra’s late, Cohost, Backup or transfer tools.
- Treat people fairly and never use hosting authority to pressure attendees for dates, sex, money, employment, purchases or private information.
- Take reasonable account of foreseeable activity, weather, venue and accessibility issues.
11. Groups and group leadership
- Group rules may add expectations but cannot override Havra Community Guidelines, privacy or safety controls.
- Owners/Admins must use their permissions only for legitimate group operation.
- Do not hijack an established group, maliciously remove leaders or secretly change its purpose.
- Group admins do not gain access to Havra internal trust scores, private platform reports, billing information, date of birth or raw member email lists.
12. Keep discussions useful
- No harassment, scams, repeated advertising, unwanted recruitment, pornography or gratuitously graphic material.
- Do not post another person’s private information.
- Only upload or share material you have the right to use.
- Hosts/group moderators may moderate their spaces, but cannot suppress legitimate safety reports or retaliate against members.
13. Photos and recordings
Attendance is not blanket photo consent. Be considerate with identifiable images, make organised recording clear where practical, and respect reasonable requests not to be photographed. Havra will use identifiable member images or recordings for Havra marketing only with those members’ explicit, separate permission.
14. Safety is shared
- Havra cannot replace your own judgement or professional services.
- You never have to share sensitive personal information, accept a lift, drink alcohol, leave with someone or remain at an event.
- For outdoor or higher-risk activities, hosts should describe known difficulty/hazards and attendees should assess their own suitability.
- Do not assume a host is a professional guide, instructor or first-aid provider unless expressly stated.
15. Prohibited activity
- Violence, threats, stalking, coercion, exploitation, trafficking, criminal schemes and unlawful activity are prohibited.
- Do not facilitate sexual exploitation, non-consensual sexual activity, violent extremism or terrorist activity.
- Do not encourage or glorify self-harm or provide knowingly false safety information that could put people at risk.
16. Privacy and personal information
- Do not publish another person’s home address, private contact details, financial information, government identifiers, credentials, private messages or precise location without permission.
- Use member information only for the legitimate event/group purpose for which it was made available.
17. Blocking and restriction evasion
A block means stop. Do not create another account, use a friend, rejoin under another identity or otherwise circumvent a block, group ban, hosting restriction or platform enforcement action.
18. Reporting concerns
Report relevant profiles, events, posts or messages through Havra. A report is an allegation, not automatic proof. Havra may review relevant platform records and context. If there is immediate danger or serious criminal activity, contact emergency services or police first.
19. How Havra handles problems
- Use automation to identify patterns, not to replace human judgement in serious or ambiguous cases.
- Apply enforcement proportionally where circumstances allow.
- Prioritise immediate safety where risk is credible.
- Do not disclose detailed anti-abuse methods that would make safeguards easy to game.
20. Possible actions
Havra may remove content, warn or caution members, restrict messaging/hosting/participation, reverse manipulated attendance or rewards, temporarily suspend accounts, permanently remove accounts, preserve information required for safety/legal reasons, and cooperate with authorities where legally required.
21. Appeals and human review
A member affected by a significant moderation action may request human review within the period shown in the notice. Havra aims to have a different reviewer assess the appeal where practical. Review timing depends on severity and complexity; the current operational target is stated in the Help Centre rather than guaranteed as a contractual deadline.
22. Adults only
Havra membership is for people aged 18 and over. Suspected exploitation or abuse involving minors should be reported immediately and may be referred to appropriate authorities or regulators.
23. Emergencies and crisis support
Havra is not an emergency service. In Australia, call 000 for immediate police, fire or ambulance help. Other support options may include Lifeline (13 11 14), 1800RESPECT (1800 737 732) and the eSafety Commissioner for eligible online-safety complaints.
24. Intellectual property
Do not upload or share material that infringes another person’s copyright, trademark or other intellectual property. Rights holders can contact Havra with enough information to identify the work and the Havra content complained about. Havra may remove material while reviewing a complaint and may act against repeat infringement.
25. Privacy and data handling
Havra handles personal information under its Privacy Policy and applicable law. The Privacy Policy explains what Havra collects, why, who receives it, retention, security and how to request access or correction.
26. Changes
Havra may update these Guidelines. The current version and last-updated date will be published. Material changes may be communicated to members where appropriate.
27. Rule of thumb
Make it easier for people to show up, feel comfortable, know what they are getting into, and want to come back.
